Prices are ranges, not quotes

Every figure on this website is a planning range compiled from current Springfield-area market data and our own 2026 job book. Roofs vary enormously in pitch, complexity, existing layers and decking condition, and no honest contractor can price one from an address. Your number comes in a written itemised estimate after we have been on the roof, and only that estimate means anything.

The storm data

The hail measurements on this site come from the National Weather Service Springfield office's published Local Storm Reports for April 28, 2026. We reproduce them without alteration. They are point observations from trained spotters and emergency personnel, which means they describe what fell at a specific location at a specific time, and hail size varies over short distances. A report of 1.00 inch two miles from your house does not prove your roof is undamaged, and a 4.00 inch report five miles away does not prove it is. The only way to know what happened to your roof is to have somebody count the hits on it.

Insurance information

We explain how roof insurance claims generally work in Missouri because most people have never had to deal with one. We are roofing contractors, not insurance professionals, and we are not licensed public adjusters. Nothing here is insurance advice. Your policy is the document that governs your claim, your carrier and your agent are the people who can interpret it, and coverage varies enormously between policies, particularly on wind and hail deductibles and cosmetic damage exclusions. Read your declarations page.

Missouri statute RSMo 407.725 prohibits a roofing contractor from representing or negotiating on a property owner's behalf on an insurance claim. We do not do it and we could not if we wanted to.

Legal and regulatory information

Where we describe Missouri statutes, City of Springfield licensing or permit requirements, we link to the primary source so you can read it yourself, and we encourage you to. It is a summary in plain language, written by roofers, and it is not legal advice. Statutes, ordinances, permit processes and fees change. Verify anything you are going to rely on with the relevant authority: Building Development Services on 417-864-1585, the business licence office on 417-864-1617, or the Missouri Revisor of Statutes.

Missouri does not issue a statewide roofing contractor licence. Where this site says "licensed", it refers to municipal business licensing, which is the licensing that actually exists here.

Service life estimates

Statements about how long a roof lasts in southwest Missouri are informed general figures based on what we tear off. Actual service life depends on installation quality, attic ventilation, storm exposure, colour, pitch and maintenance, and the number printed on a shingle wrapper is a laboratory figure rather than a prediction about your house.

Third-party links

We link to the National Weather Service, the Missouri Revisor of Statutes, the City of Springfield and Greene County because they are the primary sources for what we are describing. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content. We link to no competitors, no directories and no lead brokers.

Reviews and photographs

Customer reviews on this site are from real customers, with names shortened or initialised at their request. Project photographs are of work in our service area. Where a photograph is illustrative rather than a specific job, we do not present it as a specific job.
