The supercell crossed from Greene into Webster and Dallas counties north and east of Springfield, and Strafford was close enough to the edge to have caught the fringe rather than the core. There is no large hail report for the town itself in the NWS record for April 28, 2026, though there are 1.50 to 2.00 inch reports scattered north and east toward Elkland and the Bassville area.
